Anthropic Admin API key

CloudYali reads Anthropic cost and usage with an Admin API key, which only an organization admin can create. A standard API key can send messages but cannot read the organization's cost, so CloudYali rejects it. Creating the key takes about 2 minutes.

Before you start

• Your Anthropic account must be set up as an organization.
• You need the admin role in that organization.

Create the key

1. Sign in to the Anthropic Console.
2. In the left navigation, open API keys, then Admin keys.
3. Create a new Admin API key, with a name such as cloudyali.
4. Copy the key. It starts with sk-ant-admin, and Anthropic shows it only once.

Paste it in CloudYali next: Connect Anthropic.

Keep the key safe

• An Admin API key can manage your Anthropic organization, not only read it. Store it only in CloudYali, and do not share it.
• CloudYali stores the key encrypted and never shows it again; the Connected tab shows only its first and last characters.
• To revoke CloudYali's access, delete the key under API keys → Admin keys.
